San Cristobal

San Cristobel is a township that makes rapid transit from the rural to the urban, the city merges into the countryside and the countryside into a city, being this district the main producer of flowers and vegetables of the Flowers’ City. The potential linkage of tourist resources identified from the cultural, such as flower crops and the Museum of flowers, allows us envisioning a landscape offer that provides interaction in these crops and an appreciation of the process of planting, harvesting and transporting the different inputs and products of the crops. Other attractions that are already starting to be considered of interest for urban tourism are those related to what Medellin recognizes as factors and triggers of social transformation: the Fernando Botero Library Park, Mirador de San Cristobel UVA, and the Nuevo Occidente neighborhood of the township, their articulation drives the construction of a tourist reference from transformation and social innovation.
