The Planetario de Medellín will host the immersive experience “El cielo esta noche,” dedicated to meteor showers and their interaction with Earth’s atmosphere. Using the planetarium’s dome projection technology, audiences will journey through the night sky and its most distinctive constellations before witnessing an accurate recreation of the meteor shower as it appears in the early morning hours. The session will also highlight deep-sky objects that can be observed with small telescopes, including the Ring Nebula in Lyra and the NGC 457 star cluster in Cassiopeia. An engaging astronomy experience designed to bring the wonders and dynamics of the night sky closer to enthusiasts and curious explorers of the cosmos.
