Hop on a traditional Antioquia chiva and join the party! These colorful jewels are much more than just vehicles; they’re the soul of Antioquia culture. In the past, and still in some towns, they transported fresh produce from the countryside to the municipal seats. They carried fruits, plantains, cassava, coffee, and even chickens and pigs.
Over time, these buses became an icon of the region for their important role in its history and the artistry of their outer shell. As a way of highlighting this particular vehicle, the chiva rumbera was born: The chiva bus is transformed into a rolling party venue where you can dance and sing loudly as you move through the streets of Medellín.
