Medellín blooms with the ICCA Latin America & Caribbean Summit 2025
In September 2025, Medellín will be the epicenter of “meetings tourism” in the region as it hosts the ICCA Latin America & Caribbean Summit 2025, an event that will bring together the most influential leaders of the global congress industry. From September 2 to September 5, the city will welcome over 30 international associations and delegations from around the world, setting the stage for the blossoming of ideas and connections that will shape the future.
Why is it so important?
The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) is like the “FIFA ranking” of meetings tourism: it tracks the largest international congresses, those that rotate among several countries, are held in person, and bring together more than 50 attendees. Being on that map means playing in the big leagues of business destinations.
For Medellín to host this Summit again after 13 years is a unique opportunity: those who decide where the world’s next congresses will be held will be here. An economic impact of 90 million dollars is projected and, above all, the strengthening of Medellín’s image as an innovative and connected city.
