Medellín in Concert Mode: The Lineup That Makes the City
One of the Year’s Best Plans
Events are part of everyday life in Medellín. They are part of the city’s DNA and have helped build its reputation as a destination for entertainment in Colombia and around the world.
In Medellín, you could say, concerts are a way of life. And this year’s lineup of major concerts proves it, with names spanning rock and electronic music to salsa, Latin pop and Colombian trap. It is the result of a city that has spent years building the infrastructure, connectivity and atmosphere needed to become one of the region’s leading entertainment destinations.
DAVIarena, the new venue that Juanes will inaugurate on November 14, with a capacity of 17,000 people and projections of more than 75 events per year, adds another major space to the city’s entertainment offering.

A city surrounded by concerts
Coming to Medellín for a concert is only half the plan. The city has neighborhoods to explore, flavors to discover and cultural spaces and experiences that can turn a concert trip into a much bigger Medellín experience.
La vida te da sorpresas, sorpresas te da Medellín
Medellín’s neighborhoods change character depending on the time of day. Downtown is perhaps the most honest of them all: noisy, alive and filled with people going to work and stories unfolding on its streets.
Parque de los Deseos, Plazoleta de las Esculturas, Museo de Antioquia and the city’s cultural and urban spaces are among the stops on a route that the Vive el Centro Guide on medellin.travel organizes better than any spontaneous set of directions ever could.
Manrique offers something few Colombian neighborhoods can: a neighborhood history told across its walls. The Constelaciones Macromural covers more than 500 façades with figures that, from the hillside, come together like a star system painted by the community. Historias de mi barrio Constelaciones takes visitors through the area with guides who witnessed and lived through the creation of each section of the mural.
The Vive Manrique Guide on medellin.travel adds Casa Gardeliana, Mirador El Encanto, UVA de la Armonía and Bosque Montecarlo to the same itinerary.
Laureles was named Medellín’s coolest neighborhood by Time Out, and anyone who really knows the city can understand why. Terraces with natural views and morning coffee. Bars with live music at night. Restaurants that do not need a line outside to prove they are good.
The Vive Laureles Guide on medellin.travel has the addresses. Areas such as El Poblado and Provenza complete the map with some of the city’s most diverse offerings.

Eating in Medellín is also a decision
Medellín Sí Sabe organizes the city’s gastronomy into three distinct experiences that coexist without competing with one another.
Berraquera is traditional Paisa cooking without filters: generous, abundant and made with the pride of people who have been preparing it the same way for decades. Mecatear is the city on the move: street food, quick bites and plenty of flavor. Saberes brings together ingredients, territories and chefs who understand that food can also tell stories.
All three experiences, with their locations and recommendations, can be found on Medellin.Travel. And for those who want to leave the city for a while, Santa Elena and San Cristóbal offer agrotourism farms where the pace changes completely. The Fincas Agroturísticas Guide on medellin.travel has all the details.
Where to stay
The official Marca Medellín Hosts network offers accommodation for different types of trips.
Hotel Celestino in El Poblado is an option for travelers looking for a spa, terrace and botanical-inspired design. Factory Lofts in Laureles is for those who want to experience the neighborhood from within. El Diez Hotel Categoría Colombia in Provenza is an option for travelers who want culture to be part of the stay. Hotel Marquee at Parque Lleras is for those who want the nightlife plan to start right at the hotel. And Soul Lifestyle Aparthotel in El Poblado offers more independence for longer stays.
The full directory of tour operators, accommodation, mobility services and experiences is available at medellin.travel/anfitriones-de-ciudad.
Tickets for all concerts are available through TuBoleta. And the complete Medellín events calendar is available at medellin.travel.
